Participating cities

Since 2008, twenty five Belarusian cities have taken part in the Initiative “Child Friendly City”, improving life of their children and recognizing and implementing their rights.

Adolescent parliament

Children and adolescents have the opportunity to take part in the decision-making process through school self-government and youth councils and parliaments under local legislative and executive authorities.

Monitoring

A unique system of monitoring developed by UNICEF allows tracking the situation of children in the city and developing a plan of action for improving the life of the child.
